NEWS
August 2024
We remain busy catering small to large events year after year. We will be catering the Plymouth Arts Center's Awards Reception on September 21, 2024. We are so excited to be part of such an important and fun event.
January 2022
We have not been so good about posting news the last couple of years. 2018 and 2019 were very busy for Tasteful Adventures and we were honored to cater so many beautiful weddings, parties and special events.
2020 and 2021 were challenging, but we managed to survive and again were honored to cater weddings, parties and special celebrations and events when we were able to. In the Fall of 2021 we were thrilled to cater three post opera soirees for the Cambridge Opera Ensemble. Below are images from those soirees at the Ames Memorial Hall in Easton.
We remain grateful to those who have reached out to us and trust us with their special days and nights. We are thrilled to have weddings on our calendar for 2022 and look forward to graduations, BBQ's and other special parties.
Stay safe and healthy and have a wonderful 2022.

We are thrilled and honored to annouce that we have been selected as the exclusive caterers for the Plymouth Philharmonic pre-concert soirees for the second year in a row! We are very excited to cater these special and unique events in celebration of music and the arts. Kim Corben, the Director of The Phil wrote:
Ken and Lisa have catered 3 events for the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra so far - there will be more! The food was excellent and creatively themed around our concerts. They took great care with every detail. Being a bit of a control freak, I usually worry about everything, but by the time we were doing our second event together - I knew they would have everything under control leaving me to attend to my other duties. I have received rave reviews from our patrons after every event they've done for us. Bravo Lisa and Ken! I can't wait to see what they will come up with for our next event!
We look forward to our first soiree on October 1st!

JANUARY 1, 2016
We wish our family, friends, colleagues, clients and customers a healthy and successful New Year!
NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
The last two months brought us some more events for the Fuller Craft Museum and some private events. We were back inside for the Plymouth Farmer’s Market and working with Chris from Simpson Spring to begin selling meals and treats there on Saturdays during the winter months.
OCTOBER 23 & 24
Due to the success of the Greek luncheon for the Plymouth Philharmonic Meet the Artist Luncheon, we were invited to cater a very special dinner for the Mayflower Society Members, many of which came from states across the country. On the 23rd we catered their cocktail party and the following evening we served a sit down three course dinner. This time, Mike O’Hart, our new commercial kitchen landlord and fearless comedic leader for the evening came in with a couple of his servers to help us out. Ken said that watching him was like watching a great TV show director.
OCTOBER 18
One of our customers from the NRT event in Easton called us to participate in their event, PAWS in the PARK. They had lost their food vendor at the last minute. We quickly jumped on board to help our canine friends. We look forward to participating again next year. What a fun event and held at the beautiful Natural Resources Trust in Easton. https://www.firstgiving.com/88836/paws-in-the-park-2015 (photos courtesy of Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Mass)

OCTOBER 10
Paul Blanchard, local architect and a friend for many years hired us to cater the anniversary of the Old Colony Club. Cheryl came back to help us with this wonderful very challenging event. We prepped and cooked the food in the Old Colony Club kitchen and then transported the food in our Cambro units down the street and into the Plymouth Center for the Arts where the dinner was being held. The PCA does not currently have a kitchen. They have a prep room that we used to set up chaffing pans to keep the food warm prior to service. We cannot thank Cheryl enough – we always keep learning from her! Thankfully the dinner was very successful and we were thrilled to hear so many compliments about our dinner.
OCTOBER 4
We joined the Farmer’s Daughter among other vendors to help raise some money and awareness for the Natural Resources Trust in Easton. We served soups and sandwiches and made new friends! We really enjoy working with organizations like NRT. Check them out at http://www.nrtofeaston.org/ (photos courtesy of NRT)

In October we were thrilled and honored to work with the Plymouth Philharmonic. On October 2, we served a Greek & Mediterranean lunch for roughly 45 guests at the beautiful Mayflower House for The Phil’s MEET THE ARTISTS LUNCHEON. We are forever grateful to Kim for hiring us and for our dear friend Patty for scheduling our tasting with Kim. We loved working with the Phil on this luncheon and were thrilled when Kim told us afterward that we were hired to cater events for their 100th anniversary season. We also cannot thank Cheryl Notartomaso enough for all of her help in making sure our special and important lunch was successfully executed.

Join us at Setting the Space for a great time, great beer and of course our delicious small bites and small plates. We are in the Plymouth location from noon through 4pm.
A few kind words from Will Hayward, co-owner of Setting the Space:
In our long careers of being involved with events and setting many spaces, we have never met a catering company like this. What a delight to be offered interesting, delicious and unique food samplings instead of the "same old same old" (you all know what we mean)

Tasteful Adventures successfully completed its first wedding! A three-day wedding starting with the rehearsal dinner on Thursday July 2, followed by the wedding on July 3 and closing with a post-wedding breakfast on July 4. Ken and I not only enjoyed oursleves at this beautiful beach-side wedding at idle Wild, but we were thrilled to participate on these very special days - a very special event. And the expectations were high. Turns out so many of the guests (and the bride and groom) are all in the culinary industry as senior managers, chefs and one guest, Courtney Lapresi winner of Master Chef! Thankfully, everyone enjoyed our food!
Lisa and Ken MacDonald catered my entire wedding weekend from the rehearsal dinner to our day after breakfast. Lisa worked with me on everything, creating menus and wine lists to compliment each other.
They are caring and attentive and will absolutely work within any budget. They are creative and professional paying attention to every detail to create the perfect event for YOU.
I know my words can not express the gratitude I have for both Lisa and Ken for making our wedding weekend a memorable one- I am still hearing from friends and family about their Burnt Ends Empanadas, Lobster sliders, 3 Cheese Mac & Cheese, Deviled Eggs (OMG!) and the amazing Rose Sangria with Brandy and Chamboard (to die for!) oh and let's not forget the Oaxacan Mocha Chocolate Cake w/ Cajete and Crema (WOW!!)
Thank you Lisa and Ken for making the planning of this weekend easy and enjoyable- I am honored to be the first of many 5 STAR rating! - Cheryl Notartomaso
The food was great!! And beautifully presented - wedding guest

January was a slow time for us. We were both battling colds and once winter hit late January, it gave us an opportunity to reflect back on our succesful rollout and begin planning our next steps for the Plymouth Farmer’s Market, as well as begin networking more in our community.
Our menu for the February Plymouth Farmers Market can be found here. Stop by, say "Hi" and get some hot soup and empanadas.
JANUARY 1, 2015
Tasteful Adventures brought in the New Year at a private party in South Plymouth overlooking beautiful Long Pond. The centerpiece of this elegant afternoon/early evening party was a Charcuterie comprised of local and imported meats, cheeses and accompaniments. In addition to our display, we passed hot foods from the kitchen- from our festive guava and cream cheese empanadas, pickled Spanish swordfish on a bed of rice served on a tasting spoon to our pigeon pea-shrimp-grit cakes. A wonderful outcome from this event - one of the invited guests could not attend the party. However, from word-of-mouth contacted us and hired us for two luncheons for SEMPBA (Southeastern Massachusetts Pine Barren Association). We are forever grateful to our dear friends Ed & Charlotte who hired us and made New Year's a wonderful day of celebration and hope for Tasteful Adventures.

Tasteful Adventures is officially open for business. We will be part of the Plymouth Farmers Market indoor season starting November 13, 2014 at the Plimoth Plantation. We will be selling hot Pastelillos and soups along with frozen Pastelillos and soups for take home. The menu is coming soon.
OCTOBER 29, 2014
Tasteful Adventures launched on October 29, 2014 at a private party hosted by author, comedian, entrepreneur and friend Loretta LaRoche. A fun afternoon and evening of some of our tasty food – traditional and reinvented dishes from Puerto Rico, Spain, Kansas City and Austin, served up as small bites and small plates accompanied by live jazz performed by Kenny Wenzel (Artie Shaw, Frank Sinatra, Johnny Mathis and Burt Bacharach) and his band of accomplished musicians.
From that event we were hired to cater two private parties for friends! In addition, we received some terrific feedback, positive reviews and new contacts and prospective clients. -- A fabulous and successful debut!
